  • Job Summary:

    We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual with expertise in specific industries to manage the development and commercialization of impactful products using the Evozyne platform. Reporting to the Head of Product Management, he/she will be responsible for the overall success of the products in their portfolio, from conceptualization to go-to-market. The role requires the ability to work cross functionally with the commercial strategy team, scientists, and operations to oversee soup-to-nuts development of product. In addition, he/she will support business development opportunities, from project ideation to scoping to deal evaluation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Define product requirements / design goals and validate value creation opportunity

    • Build detailed product playbooks consisting of the vision, business case, go-to-market plan, operational plan & milestones, budget, timelines, IP, marketing, etc.

    • Work closely with cross functional teams to execute against the product playbooks

    • Oversee the development of the product from concept to product launch

    • Develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term product roadmaps

    • Find new product ideas and evaluate for scientific & commercial impact and strategic fit

    • Attend industry events and conferences to develop Evozyne’s brand and presence and learn directly from the customer

    • Monitor and report on competitor activities / market trends to deliver actionable insights

    Required Education, Experience and Certifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably an MBA, Master’s, or PhD (in a related field)

    • 3+ years of experience in product management preferred

    • Experience at top-tier management consulting and/or investment banking is a plus

  • Job Summary:

    The primary focus of this position will be leading or participating in projects to engineer proteins with novel or improved functionality. This includes developing high-throughput assays of protein function (e.g. stability or enzymatic activity), high-throughput expression systems for highly heterologous proteins, and working with our computational team to design new protein sequences.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop high-throughput assays, in various formats, for measuring properties of candidate proteins.

    • Develop expression systems (microbial, cell-free, or eukaryotic cell) for high-throughput protein expression

    • Lead small teams to characterize proteins as part of our design-build-test cycle, including training technicians and other staff.

    • Assist in analyzing prospective projects from a biochemical perspective and help to draft proposals for partners/clients.

  • Job Summary:

    The primary focus of this position will be developing droplet microfluidic systems to enable ultra-high throughput measurement of protein properties and improve gene synthesis technology. You will also be expected to carry out measurements, train other team members and contribute to the overall growth of our startup company. We are looking for a highly motivated scientist or engineer who is capable of working independently and leading our efforts in this area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Adapt existing droplet microfluidic systems and biochemical assays to measure enzyme properties.

    • Develop improved microfluidic devices and data acquisition systems to enable new measurements and capabilities in protein characterization and gene synthesis.

    • Lead small teams to characterize proteins as part of our design-build-test cycle, including training technicians and other staff.

    Required Education, Experience and Certifications:

    • Experience: The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience (academic or industry) with the design and operation of microfluidic systems, as well as biochemical assays of protein function and/or quantitative cell-based measurements. Strong technical skills in fluorescence microscopy and/or data acquisition is also very important.

  • Job Summary:

    The primary focus of this position will be designing, commissioning, maintaining, and upgrading integrated and standalone automated systems to enable high throughput gene synthesis, protein expression, and protein functional measurement workflows. You will also be expected to help automate and scale up assay and expression protocols, develop systems to manage consumables and assay data, and eventually lead a small team to execute the above responsibilities. We are looking for a highly motivated scientist or engineer who can work independently and lead our efforts in this area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead company efforts to automate high throughput gene synthesis, protein expression, and functional assays by upgrading and maintaining existing integrated systems and designing and commissioning new ones. This includes both hardware and software responsibilities, including method development.

    • Assist in improving data and inventory management systems and software

    • Assist with scaling up and automating expression and assay protocols used in our protein engineering projects

    • Lead small teams to produce genes and proteins as part of our iterative design-build-test cycle, including training technicians and other staff.

    • Assist in analyzing prospective projects from a technological perspective and help to draft proposals for partners/clients.

  • Job Summary:

    The primary focus of this position is the development of deep learning tools to learn protein design rules from protein databases, create generative models of synthetic protein sequences, construct supervised models linking protein sequence to measured function, and packaging of these tools within user friendly software. The position will interface closely with the experimental gene synthesis and assay team in order to provide close coupling between the computational and experimental design loop. The successful candidate will lead the computational and software development efforts at Evozyne, train other team members, and contribute to the overall development of the company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Construct deep learning tools to extract protein design rules from protein sequence databases.

    • Build supervised and unsupervised models for the computational design of synthetic protein sequences with desired structure and function.

    • Develop these tools into scalable and efficient software packages with user-friendly frontends.

    • Interface closely with the experimental gene synthesis and assay teams to integrate and execute the design-build-test cycle.

  • Job Summary:

    The primary focus of this position is the development and deployment of bioinformatics tools to curate protein sequence databases, evaluate mutational and evolutionary patterns, conduct feasibility analyses, and contextualize the design challenge within the scientific literature. The position will interface closely with the experimental gene synthesis and assay team, and the computational deep learning design team in order to provide close coupling between the computational and experimental feedback loop. The successful candidate will lead bioinformatics efforts at Evozyne, train other team members, and contribute to the overall development of our startup company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Curate and assemble protein sequence databases and multiple sequence alignments of homologous protein families for targeted protein engineering applications.

    • Design, develop, and deploy computational bioinformatics analysis platforms.

  • Job Summary:

    The primary focus of this position is the development of client-facing software platforms for data-driven protein design. The scalable and user-friendly frontends will interface with Evozyne's proprietary backend bioinformatics and deep learning technology to bring the power of our protein design platform to our clients. The position will interface closely with the computational bioinformatics and deep learning team and the experimental wet lab gene synthesis and assay team. The successful candidate will lead software development efforts at Evozyne, train other team members, and contribute to the overall development of our startup company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Architect and develop scalable and efficient protein design software packages and web applications with user-friendly frontends and excellent documentation.

    • Interface closely with the computational teams developing the bioinformatics and deep learning backends and wet lab teams in deploying the design software.
